Just like the esteemed Land Rover Defender line, Toyota also offers a durable platform highly regarded by many. While the latest versions of these vehicles provide advanced features and impressive performance, classic models will forever captivate devoted enthusiasts. The folks at Bring a Trailer are excited to present this retro gem – the 1982 Land Cruiser FJ43.
Maintaining classic vehicles like this in mint condition requires a skilled approach. Therefore, credit for the exceptional state of this specimen goes to the team at The FJ Company. They are among the top establishments specializing in renovations and other services for the Japanese brand’s off-road beast.
For seasoned Overlanding fans, catching a glimpse of the timeless outline of this SUV should evoke a wave of nostalgia. According to the auction house, the most recent owner acquired the 1982 Land Cruiser FJ43 in 2019. Prior to that, records indicate a full exterior repaint in Grayish Olive without any mention of major repairs.
The chassis number FJ43109975 corresponds to The FJ Company’s build number 1111. Prospective buyers can find this serial on a special plaque located on the driver’s side door frame, which also indicates that it is based on their G43-S configuration. The odometer reportedly displays 3,400 miles. The 1982 Land Cruiser FJ43 comes equipped with a Warn front winch, Rigid Truck-Lite LED headlights, and a Hi-Lift jack.
Additional enhancements feature a matching jerrycan, bespoke bumpers by The FJ Company equipped with fog lights, a receiver hitch, and dual side mirrors. Its 16” Evo Corse Dakar wheels come in black color and are wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires. Inside, the 1982 Land Cruiser FJ43 showcases red leather upholstery on the Recaro Specialist front seats and rear bench seats.
